The Nepal Type Approval Procedure is a system by which the quality and standard specifications for telecommunications equipment and services in Nepal are established and authorized by the Nepal Telecommunications Authority (NTA).
Nepal Type Approval can only be obtained through a local representative in Nepal, who must apply for Type Approval on behalf of the manufacturer. Foreign manufacturers or applicants are not permitted to directly apply for Nepal Type Approval.
To obtain Type Approval for radio telecommunications CPEs in Nepal, the manufacturer must follow a specific process. Firstly, the manufacturer needs to apply through a local representative, submit a Type Approval application form along with required documents, and pay a non-refundable application fee. The Authority will then review the application and may ask for further information or request a sample of the equipment.
